Considering its eateries, Montréal is a great place for foodies and in this point way closer to Paris than to Toronto.
La Brioche Lyonnaise is one fine example. This source of French pastry delights looks like it would just around the corner from the Champs-Élysées or Tour Montparnasse. Little green and white bistro tables and chairs are inviting to have a sit and enjoy a little something. La Brioche Lyonnaise is well known for its fine breakfast pastries like pains-au-chocolat, croissants or brioches and indeed they are wonderful bites of Québec’s French cultural heritage. Nonetheless their more savoury snack cuisine is also worth mentioning. Having a crêpe or croque monsieur in the afternoon can be the perfect recreation between long shopping or sightseeing tours.
