Sparda-Bank Brückenlauf.

Run for fun this weekend in Dusseldorf with thousands of other people of all ages from young and old. The 10 km course crosses two of the city’s bridges, Oberkasseler and Rhine Knee bridges, along the Oberkasseler Rhine bank and finishes, of course, in the old town, where you can reward your efforts with a cold drink – water of course!
Children’s courses start at 1km or 2km long for the very young up to 5 km for the teenagers. And for those of us who are still teenagers at heart you too can choose to run the 5 km, 3 mile, instead of the full 10 km, 6 mile, course.
The rule is – you must have fun, and although you may find the odd serious runner training for the marathon which is held here in Dusseldorf the following weekend, 4th May, you can walk, skip, hop or if you so desire run the course.
It isn’t too late to enter, and it is never too late to come down and support those who will be participating. It is a lot of fun and an event that the whole family can take part in. For more information on how to enter or to see the route maps visit the official website.
