KAI10 - New Art Space for Dusseldorf.

DArt lovers - tune in! The Media Harbour was widely known for its architectual design of
artistic value. Additionally to this superficial attraction, the Dusseldorf's arts scene
discovered the modern and livable envinronment next to the water

Proof of this movement is the recently opened Art Space Kai 10 and its first exhibition
"No Illusions" that shows modern art works by the young and ambitious artists Björn Dahlem,
Thomas Helbig, Manfred Pernice, Marjetica Potrc, Franz West und Heimo Zobernig zu sehen.

The exhibition will be shown until 7 December.


Open from 12 pm to 5 pm on Thursday to Saturday.

One of the largest city shopping mall projects in Dusseldorf could recently be finished after two years of construction. The Dusseldorf Arcaden houses 120 shops, a library, the civic centre for the borough of Bilk as well as an indoor waterpark.

Japanese Summer Festival - 6th September.

EKŌ-House, the Japanese cultural centre is organising a summer festival on the 6th of September which is meant to be a day of encounter and the mutual approach. There will be a performance of the Taiko drum group Araumi, the children choir of EKŌ and a dance performance. The festivities will take place on Saturday 6th of September, starting at 3 pm at the EKŌ temple garden.

Luegalleefest - 17 August 2008.

The borough of Oberkassel is dominated by its largest boulevard, the Luegallee, and on Sunday 17 August it will host one of Dusseldorf’s most colorful Street Festivals: The Luegallefest. 23rd Annual Cricket Match - 16 August 2008.

The British Business Men’s Club Düsseldorf, Christchurch and the British Consulate hold their annual Cricket Match this year again on the Engländer Wiese, English Men’s Meadow, in Nordpark near Aquazoo. The event will start at noon. After the match a barbeque will be organized.
