Enjoy the current programme Sternenzauber, Star Magic in the beautifully designed variety theatre, which is as cosy as ever with the lush red walls glittering and glowing with mysterious light effects. Become enchanted under a celestial sky composed of a thousand stars as the curtain opens and the stars on stage shine brightly too.
Tightrope artists and jugglers, acrobats and magicians, comedians and musicians all came to take you on a journey to the stars. An inspired programme of discovery and wonderment, love and dreams, searching and finding has been composed to carry everyone on a dreamlike experience.
The artistic couple Oksana and Vadim from Kiev perform inspiring scenes of married life whilst discarding clothes in the blink of an eye. Tuan Le, former member of the Vietnamese State Circus, proves with humorous artistry as he juggles hats and other flying objects that he is not only quick-witted but quick footed too. Victoria Biliaouer, born to a Russian circus dynasty, moves astonishingly gracefully to challenge equilibrium and leave you dreaming.
Senn and Memet, a poetic Canadian and Turkish pair on the vertical cloth is simply breathtaking with their unique, floating display of emotion and passion. Nina Cortes takes tightrope walking to its limits. You have never seen anyone move so fast or unusually as this Swiss-Spanish performer. Young Wen Xiong and Jiajiao Wei from Tianjin province in China have been training together since they were six and it shows. Gentle flowing movements and balance combine with playful and perfect body control to leave their audience moved. And the Italian sisters Katie and Quincy Azzario, astound with their head-on-head acrobatics in a charming, unusual show of balance, strength and flirtatious experience.
All this is interwoven with a couple of national stars, Marius Jung and Till Kersting, German speakers who offer so much, that they too are engaging to those that don't speak the language.
The stunned silence after the show leaves everyone in deep emotional thought. And then a moving, magical end tops even this. Perfect for the time of year so enjoy a wonderful evening with great artists, tasty food, good wine and magical entertainment.
