Diana and Actaeon


According to an antique myth, the huntsman Actaeon caught nude Diana while bathing. The goddess of hunting punished him with the transformation into a deer and he was killed by his own dogs. His curuiosity became his lethal fate.

From this mythological view, the exhibition portrays art works of the Antiquity, Baroque, Classicisim and modernity that focus around the libidinous glimpse and touch of erotic. More than 200 objects are on display and connecting desire, beauty, sexuality, truth and death.
